WEEK #7 GSF Game of the Week
St. Francis vs St. Ignatius
The last time the St. Ignatius Wildcats beat the St. Francis Lancers was 2012. The Wildcats would go on that year to win the CCS Open Division in overtime against the Bellarmine Bells. SI is led by senior Teddye Buchanan, a full-time playmaker on offense and defense. Buchanan a rare QB who plays and starts on defense as an outside linebacker. Against the Lancers, Buchanan threw for 192 yards on 11/18 completed passes and two touchdowns. He also rushed for over 100 yards and scored two rushing TDs. SI recorded five touchdowns against the Lancers. The last time they scored 35 points against the Lancers was in 2011, a game they lost 38-35.

Mitty vs Serra
The Serra Padres remain unbeaten but were challenged big time by the visiting Mitty Monarchs. In front of a sold-out homecoming crowd at the Brady Family Stadium, Serra fell behind early, after Mitty ran a trick play to score the first TD of the game. After a 7-7 first quarter, the Monarchs again scored two quick TDs one of which was a forced fumble strip TD by junior linebacker Zach Tabangcura. QB Shamir Bey followed it up with a quick strike TD pass to Raymello Murphy who caught the ball up the middle and ran it in for a score to make it 21-7.

Los Gatos vs Wilcox
QB Alex Grado threw three interceptions in the first quarter against the Wilcox Chargers, one of which was a pick-6 to Rashaun Bowden. The Chargers scored 19 unanswered points until a turnover on downs just before halftime allowed Grado and the Los Gatos Wildcats to drive down the field and score. He orchestrated a six-play, ninety-yard touchdown drive to cut the deficit down 19-7 at intermission.
