Alf Joaquin
With over 10 years of video production experience, Alf is truly passionate about his craft. He started working at a cable access station in Palo Alto, CA when he was a junior at Gunn High School. His mentor Ken Allen was the one who motivated him to pursue a career in the broadcast industry. He ended up at SJSU’s Radio, TV & Film department after high school and joined KICU36/KTVU2 as an intern during his fourth year in college. Alf spent six years working in television and racked up numerous awards, including 6 Emmy statuettes for directing, videography and editing. He was also recognized with the Edward R. Murrow Award as a videojournalist.
In 2010, ALF started GetSportsFocus to recognize and help student-athletes in the Greater Bay Area gain proper exposure for college recruiting. He has mentored several individuals aspiring to become journalists, who started as student interns for GSF and eventually moved on to work in the broadcast media industry.

AJ
VIDEOGRAPHER • MUSIC PRODUCER
AJ started working for GSF as a student intern during his sophomore year at Lincoln High School in San Jose. He assisted during games and remote shoots. He is also a musician and has produced several tracks for the award-winning GSF360º documentaries produced by GetSportsFocus. A recent grad, AJ is also a student-athlete. He is the wrestling team captain and plans to pursue firefighting after high school.
Kyle Moreton
VIDEOJOURNALIST • SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT HOST
Kyle Moreton is a freelance sports journalist and a graduate from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. He has been an on-camera host at GetSportsFocus since 2016, and has also worked as a sports writer, play-by-play commentator, and public address announcer.
